Summary: Twenty drabbles about twenty characters, and where they are twenty years on from the start of the Harry Potter series – in honour of the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, first published on 26 June, 1997. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY POTTER!

Notes:

By “twenty years on from the start of the Harry Potter series” I mean I’ve set this roughly in the summer of 2011, so it’s 20 years after the start of the main action of Philosopher’s Stone (1991: Harry’s 11th birthday/getting his Hogwarts letter), and 13 years after the end of Deathly Hallows (1998: when Harry’s nearly 18).

Probably some small deviations here from Pottermore and latterly JKR revelations about characters’ post-canon lives, since I tend to view those as interesting expanded universe but not strictly canon, and because in some characters’ cases I’d already written stories and established headcanons before JKR’s info came out. Minor stuff, though! Details like where Fleur works. :-)

RAISE YOUR LANTERN HIGH

Summary: In which Remus and Tonks fight battles, arrest criminals, befriend werewolves, overcome inner demons and, despite it all, find themselves a happy ending. A love story, and a story of the Order years. (My Remus/Tonks epic, which has been years in the making! This is the second half of the story, set in the Half-Blood Prince year.)

Note: This is the final chapter of a story that has occupied much of my heart and my brain for nearly six years, and I can't quite believe this day has come! Like the great J. K. Rowling herself, I feel compelled to thank you, the reader, who have stuck with these characters until the very end.

Yet another story inspired by something stereolightning said. Thank you for being a wonderful muse!

In my head, this takes place very shortly after "Easter Sun," i.e., after the start of Hogwarts' Easter break, but before the Weasley family has to go into hiding, during Deathly Hallows. An incongruous time for a happy, sunny scene, perhaps, but I really wanted it to be there.

Summary: At 17, Andromeda Black thought being in love was everything. At 57, Andromeda Tonks knew better. Yet the first time Kingsley Shacklebolt asked her out, she surprised herself by saying yes.

Summary:

In the winter after the war, Ginny navigates not only her own recurring nightmares, but also the demands of Quidditch captaincy, the weirdness of double-dating with one's brother and the surprisingly difficult path back to Harry, along with Hermione's obsession with inter-house unity, Neville's retreat into his books, Luna's lonely family life and a gaping hole in Ginny's family where her middle brother used to be.

In the winter after the war, Ginny starts putting the pieces back together, with a little help from her friends.
